Compelling Outreach Ministry Evangelistic Team (COMET) Partakers Church of Christ Ministries Outreach Ministry has been renamed “Compelling Outreach Ministry Evangelistic Team (COMET). Natural comets orbit the sun just like planets and asteroids do, except a comet usually has a very elongated orbit. As the comet gets closer to the sun, some of the ice starts to melt and boil off, along with particles of dust. The closer a comet gets to the sun, the faster it moves! Just as we get closer to the Son of God, our sins, issues, problems, and mistakes begin to be removed from our lives. We are able to be effective witnesses for the Lord Jesus Christ by compelling the world to consider Him as Lord and Savior. We believe God has commissioned His called and saved people to go out to compel all to come unto Him through His Son Jesus Christ. “And the Lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled (Luke 14:23).”
